Axios is the hospitality operating and asset management advisory platform that oversees The Blackstone Group’s hospitality investments in Europe and Asia. This role includes proactive asset management in conjunction with the third party managed hotels’ management teams as well as providing design direction, construction and project management expertise for significant capital projects and renovation. Axios also has the in-house expertise to manage hospitality companies.

The primary goal of Axios is to enhance the value of the hospitality properties under its supervision through strategic renovations and property repositioning as well as through improved operations and sophisticated capital planning.

Currently Axios provides asset management and hospitality advisory services to a portfolio of hotels across Europe comprising 109 properties (21,000 rooms).  Properties range from 2 star budget hotels to upscale and luxury hotels.  Within the Axios portfolio several hotel brands/flags are represented including hotel brands from companies like Starwood, Intercontinental, Marriott, Fairmont, Louvre Hotels, Accor, Hyatt, Rezidor, Maritim, etc.

Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel

Acquired in June 2006: renovated the airport level restaurant, added two meeting rooms and the developed a new bar.  Incorporated the Sheraton Link, a brand standard for all Axios owned Sheraton Hotels.
The Trianon Palace - A Waldorf=Astoria Collection Hotel

Closed down to undergo a complete Richmond Design renovation in 2006. In 2008 opened Gordon Ramsay’s first fine dining location in France, and a Guerlain Spa.
The Westin

Part of a portfolio acquired in early 2007, this is one of ten upscale full service hotels including two additional Westins in Dresden and Berlin.  These properties have undergone major renovations.
 
Marriott Hotel

Acquired in 2007, the only Marriott in Scandinavia. A regional brand flagship, redeveloped to incorporate seven new guest rooms built into previously unused space and repositioned to improve F&B profitability.
 
DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam - Centraal Station

One of the four UK Center Parcs, acquired June 2006. A £100 million renovation program includes 800 units fully renovated by Target Living, the addition of upscale retail, third party restaurants and efficiency improvements.
